Sowing Cover Crop

Last Fall, probably too late in the season, we spread seeds all over our fields, including vetch, clover, daikon radish...and...something else that I've now completely forgotten.

The seeds for were generously donated by Fresh Start Growers' Supply, located right here in Louisville, Kentucky.

We did not sow cover crop over every plot in the garden.  For one reason or another, only one of our growers chose to sow their field with this very fine blend of cover crops.

We sowed the fields of the Family Education plots with the help of the Muslim Student Association of Louisville and the Baptist Student Association of the University of Louisville.

Will the cover crops succeed? We'll find out over the coming months!
Many thanks to our donors and volunteers who assisted on this project.
Please consider donating to or volunteering with our garden. Contact Garden Manager Alex Udis at 502-366-7813 or alex@americanacc.org for more information.
