Upcoming garden workshops at Americana

Come out to Americana for two upcoming gardening workshops!
You'll learn about important topics, have a chance to meet growers from over ten different countries, and likely have fun while you're at it. These workshops are free and open to the public and we hope to see you in our garden.

Workshops start at 4pm with a lite snack. Discussions and demonstrations begin at 4:30pm

About our garden

The Community Garden at Americana has been an essential part of programming since 2006. Growers from all over the world come together to grow food for their families and to share with their community. "It's the whole world in 1/5th of an acre."

Many of our growers come from places where subsistence gardening is a way of life. Green space & gardening had to be sacrificed when they left home, especially when relocating to urban areas, but now Americana can offer them the option of gardening on our grounds. The community garden is an important asset to our community as a neighborhood gathering place, a resource for families to obtaining healthy food, and an outdoor education facility for our youth.
